I expect to new people working in the quinoa. I am more concern to explore the possibilities and obstacles about the holy grain.

I am doing the master research thesis on Quinoa. I love to interact and meet the professional who are working in the same field.
What suggestions would you make for the future development of the quinoa network?
I suggest to get connect with more people from the various part of the world who are trying to establish this crop as a future crop. I also suggest to have a live forum or discussion section to share the people experience about the crop.

To obtain information from peer colleagues/experts and technical cooperation related to the cropping, harvesting, processing, value additional and nutritional values of quinoa on sub-Saharan environments, and more specifically on arid and semi-arid lands (ASALs)

What suggestions would you make for the future development of the quinoa network?
1.- Promote technical exchanges and field visits to different areas where quinoa is successfully being grown, promoted and commercialized;
2.- Foster international workshops/congresses on last findings of quinoa, including research papers, lessons learned from other countries and success stories- both from FAO and other national/international organizations linked to quinoa activities.
3.- Promote forums for the quinoa value chain: marketing development, value addition and post-harvest management, and inclusion of international certification labels and standards (i.e. fair trade and organic labeling).

I can deal with network professionally with a good base of computer knowledge and attended a workshop on"web 2.0 and social media for development at University of Gezira, Wad Medani- Sudan", and I am going to employ these knowledge since I do now know the potential behind networks!
What suggestions would you make for the future development of the quinoa network?
- Determining fixing date to meeting regularly to share where we stand so far will help to fix problem and will gain time in discussion to draw a line regarding our activities and to be in contact all the time. We can use Skype for this.

I hope to investigate in groups and achieve a social impact with the work that is achieved.
What degree of interest do you have in professional networks?
I believe that group work is what allows us to bring knowledge to the community, the networks allow jobs to have greater impact.
What suggestions would you make for the future development of the quinoa network?
The development of certified seed, improve varieties depending on the use that you want to give to quinoa. In tropical regions identify the behavior of varieties in different agro-ecological conditions.

What do you expect of a collaborative network on quinoa?
As part of a collaborative quinoa network, I would expect to connect with researchers across the world working on different aspects of quinoa, from genetics and breeding to physiology, agronomy, and grain quality. As I am relatively new to working with this crop, I see the network as an important platform to exchange knowledge, build collaborations, and align efforts internationally. Currently, I am developing research lines in pre-breeding and nutrition, and the University of Nottingham offers excellent phenotyping facilities that could strongly support collaborative projects. In addition, we have been testing quinoa lines in the field over the past two years with very promising results.
I would particularly value opportunities to share methodologies, develop joint projects focused on climate resilience and grain quality, and foster student training and co-supervision within an international framework.

I have a strong interest in professional networks. I see them as essential platforms for building meaningful collaborations, exchanging knowledge, and developing joint research initiatives. In my view, networks are particularly valuable for connecting complementary expertise, supporting student training, and increasing the impact and visibility of research at an international level.
What suggestions would you make for the future development of the quinoa network?
At this stage, I would first like to become more actively involved in the network to better understand its structure, priorities, and ongoing activities before making specific suggestions.
Looking ahead, I would be interested in contributing to initiatives that strengthen international collaboration, such as coordinated multi-location trials, shared phenotyping protocols, and closer integration between breeding, nutrition, and industry-oriented research. I also see strong value in promoting student exchanges and early-career researcher engagement to ensure the long-term sustainability and impact of the network.
